AweSum Challenge is an exciting mathematics teaching resource aimed at helping KS2 pupils to excel in money calculations and problem-solving in the format of an educational game that supports the saving habit.

Money calculations and problem-solving are two key areas of Primary Strategy mathematics, while saving and budgeting are critical elements in enhancing financial literacy.

AweSum Challenge is a highly relevant and imaginative teaching resource for both primary mathematics and finance education, designed for minimum teacher preparation and maximum teacher support.

The resource comes with comprehensive Teacher Notes and a step-by-step PowerPoint guide to the game, enabling you and your pupils to gain the most from AweSum Challenge as an interactive aid to learning.

It is suggested children play in pairs at first until they feel ready to try it by themselves. The more they play AweSum Challenge, the greater their confidence, increasing the likelihood of higher scores and, above
all, improved mathematical skills and attainment.
